Loss of income
All players aged 16 and over who are registered with a Welsh Rugby Union affiliated club and are in gainful employment are eligible for loss of income coverage. This benefit provides:
- £50 per week, following a 28-day deferment period, for up to a maximum of 26 weeks.
If you require higher benefits, your club has the option to purchase additional coverage. To do so, the club must complete and return the proposal form. Additional benefits may include:
- Up to £25 to £400 in additional weekly benefits.
- A reduced deferment period of 7 days.
If your club wants to arrange additional Loss of income cover, please complete the TTD Top Up application form here.
As a player, particularly if you're self-employed, you may want to consider a policy that protects your income in respect of accident and sickness in all aspects of your life, not just rugby. For more information about individual loss of income cover, click here.
Please note that all claims must be submitted within 60 days of the incident.
