London, 25 May 2022 - Howden, the international insurance broker, today announces the appointment of Sarah Neild as Head of UK Cyber Retail. Neild’s appointment reflects Howden’s commitment to continue investing in its Cyber proposition, building on existing expertise, and attracting the best talent in the market. Neild will report to David Rees, and will be based in London.
Neild joins Howden from Marsh, and brings with her over 30 years of experience in the cyber market. She has held senior positions in the Cyber, Media and Technology specialist teams at Marsh, where she is currently a Senior Vice President, working across a broad range of sectors including major broadcasters and telecommunications companies. Neild will strengthen Howden’s existing Cyber proposition for the benefit of its clients.
This is another significant senior hire for Howden, following the recent appointment of Adam Reed to head Howden’s large and complex risk team, which services major corporates primarily in the FTSE 100/250.
David Rees, Executive Director, who leads Howden’s Cyber and Technology Solutions Practice, comments: “Sarah is one of the most experienced people in the Cyber space, and we are privileged to have her join our established team. She will add depth and breadth to our expertise, strengthening our client solutions and making Howden a formidable force in the Cyber and Technology insurance market.”
Sarah Hughes, Global Head of Financial Lines, Howden added: “Howden is committed to attracting individuals who have a relentless focus on delivering for their clients. The need for Cyber insurance is at the forefront of our clients’ priorities as cyber incidents increase in frequency. The Financial Lines business is committed to ensuring that our clients have the knowledge and tools to achieve business resiliency on their cyber journey.”
Neild will join Howden in November once her contractual obligations have been fulfilled.
