Protection for your netball activities

England Netball members are given insurance cover as part of their membership. This includes affiliated members both under and over 16, social and supporting members.

The cover offers protection to members participating in an official England Netball activity, organised or facilitated by appropriately qualified England Netball appointed person and recognised versions of the game.

To view the summary of cover, including principal exclusions, visit the policy and document hub page

For any questions about your cover, visit the England Netball Insurance FAQs page.

Combined Liability

All players should do everything reasonable to ensure they do not cause injury or financial loss to anyone or damage to property. If an incident causes injury, loss or damage and member negligence can be proven, they can become legally liable to pay compensation.

The insurance provided by England Netball membership automatically gives members, including social and supporting members, with public liability insurance with a limit of indemnity of £10m for any one event. This includes ‘member to member’ cover in cases where another player or member of the club is injured and they claim against you alleging you were negligent in your actions.

Income Protection

Are you worried about your income if you were injured or sick and unable to work?  Income protection is designed to replace or supplement your income in the event that you are unable to work

Insurance can be taken out to cover accidents/sickness and is intended to provide short term cover ranging from 12 to 24 months or up until retirement on long term accident and sickness cover, depending on the policy.  Common reasons for taking out income protection includes protecting mortgage or loan payments whilst ensuring you are able to maintain your lifestyle and can continue to financially support your family and loved ones.
