Sabrina obtained a degree in Pharmacology before commencing Law. She has been a Qualified Solicitor for over 16 years and has maintained her love for all areas of health and care. Prior to joining Howden, Sabrina worked in private practice for Legal 500 Top Tier defence firms, where she specialised in handling contentious claims from cradle to grave in the niche fields of Healthcare and Casualty. She has represented a range of market leading global insurers, NHS Trusts, private healthcare organisations and SME’s/larger companies, as well as individual Doctors such as General Practitioners and Consultants. Sabrina has vast experience in advising Insurer clients and policyholders on risk management and the defensibility of claims, liability, and quantum, together with offering safety and learning advice as a value add to the client.

As well as private practice, Sabrina has vast experience ‘in house’ as a Senior Claims Handler at the largest Medical Defence Organisation, where she dealt with claims and indemnity to medical practitioners on a ‘discretionary’ basis. She is experienced in considering coverage and policy wordings and can ensure clients’ needs are well evaluated so their insurance and risk needs are fully met.

Sabrina’s family background is in Social Care, where her parents who are now retired, owned, and managed a Care Home for over 25 years. Sabrina is well versed in understanding the intricate dealings within Social Care, from regulations to managing risk.
