Combined Liability

All players should do everything reasonable to ensure they do not cause injury or financial loss to anyone or damage to property. If an incident causes injury, loss or damage and member negligence can be proven, they can become legally liable to pay compensation.

The insurance provided by England Netball membership automatically gives members aged up to 80 years old, including social and supporting members, with public liability insurance with a limit of indemnity of £10m for any one event. This includes ‘member to member’ cover in cases where another player or member of the club is injured and they claim against you alleging you were negligent in your actions.

Personal Accident cover

This benefit provides cover for members up to the age of 80 years old who become injured as a result of an England Netball recognised and authorised activity internationally.

This policy covers you for accidental injuries sustained during an activity which result in:

  • Death
  • Loss of limbs
  • Loss of hearing or sight
  • Permanent or temporary disability

Personal accident cover is also available to members who are Back to Netball & Walking Netball Subscribers.

These members are covered for:

  • Back to Netball sessions organised by England Netball or a recognised partner and featured on England Netball’s Session Finder
  • Walking Netball sessions organised by England Netball or a recognised partner and featured on England Netball’s Session Finder

Cover is not included for sickness or injuries resulting from a medical condition. If you feel you require additional benefits or higher temporary disablement benefits we recommend that you purchase an additional policy such as Income Protection to support you that is appropriate for your individual needs.

Income Protection

Are you worried about your income if you were injured or sick and unable to work?  Income protection is designed to replace or supplement your income in the event that you are unable to work

Insurance can be taken out to cover accidents/sickness and is intended to provide short term cover ranging from 12 to 24 months or up until retirement on long term accident and sickness cover, depending on the policy.  Common reasons for taking out income protection includes protecting mortgage or loan payments whilst ensuring you are able to maintain your lifestyle and can continue to financially support your family and loved ones.

Let us help you find income protection insurance that is right for you.  Once we establish you are eligible for insurance cover, Howden Life & Heath can tailor the policy cover to meet your individual needs.  For further information click here
