Keeping your basketball activities safe

As a licenced participant of Basketball England you are protected by Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance whenever taking part in activities authorised by Basketball England.

This policy covers the cost of defending yourself against a claim if you are held responsible for loss, damage or injury to someone else or their property. 

Personal accident insurance

As a licenced participant, your membership benefits include personal accident insurance to provide you with a 'no fault' benefit in the event you are injured whilst taking part in your sport.

Details of your insurance benefits are:

  • Death - £25,000
  • Permanent Loss of Sight/Hearing - £25,000
  • Permanent Total Disablement - £25,000
  • Coma Benefit - £50 per full 24 hours up to a maximum 104 weeks
  • Hospitalisation - £50 per full 24 hours up to a maximum 104 weeks
  • Dental - up to £500
  • Optical - up to £500
  • Accidental Medical Expenses
