Robert Kennedy, said: “There’s very few people not touched in some way by cancer whether as a patient, a friend, or a family member. Choosing ARC as our charity partner is very close to our hearts at Howden. Some of our employees and their families have already been touched by this disease, and have already engaged in some of the services offered by ARC and their wonderful team of professionals. It’s amazing that just €500 raised can offer eight free counselling sessions to either a patient going through cancer or their family members in need of support. It is our aim to not only raise much needed funds for the support centres but to get involved through volunteering and fund-raising activities this year. With focussed effort, we hope to raise money and have some fun along the way”.

ARC’s Cancer Support Centre are a haven from the outside world, offering support to men, women, and children (aged 4+) affected by cancer and those who care for them. ARC offers a range of psychological, emotional, and educational supports including counselling, support groups, well-being classes, and more from their three support centres.

Deirdre Grant, CEO of ARC Cancer Support Centre added: “We are delighted and deeply grateful to be partnering with Howden Insurance for 2025. This incredible opportunity ensures that men, women, and children living with cancer, along with their loved ones, can access the psychological, emotional, practical, and educational support they need, entirely free of charge. It allows us to be there for them every step of the way, for as long as they need us. Thank you. Words cannot fully capture how much your support means to us and to the community of cancer survivors we serve.”
