Howden chooses LauraLynn as its new charity partner

Dublin, 19 May 2026: Howden has proudly launched a two-year charity partnership with LauraLynn, Ireland’s children's hospice, marking the start of a shared commitment to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

LauraLynn was chosen by Howden employees, who were deeply moved by the compassionate palliative and supportive care the charity delivers to children and families at some of the most challenging times in their lives.

Mark Nolan, CEO of Howden Ireland, said; “We’re delighted to partner with LauraLynn and to focus our fundraising on supporting the incredible care and services they provide to children and families across the country. We’ve set ourselves a target of raising
€50,000 over the next two years and have taken our first steps towards this by participating in their 24-hour challenge.

Colleagues will attend the 24-hour challenge to cycle on a dedicated Howden bike to ensure we have someone from the entire business representing and supporting this important initiative. In addition, we are placing stationary bikes in 7 of our locations so that our regional staff can hop on a bike, raise funds and have fun together. The challenge will take place on Thursday 21 May, as part of Howden’s Global Group Giving Month, with more fundraising activities planned throughout the partnership.

We are incredibly honoured to be chosen by Howden as their charity partner for the next two years. Knowing that LauraLynn has been selected through an employee vote makes this partnership especially meaningful, as it reflects a shared commitment to supporting seriously ill children and their families across Ireland. The generosity and hands‑on fundraising involvement by Howdens' vast employee network across the country will make a real and impactful difference to the families we care for. Together, this partnership will help us continue to provide vital palliative care for patients, support and comfort when families need it most.

LauraLynn’s care goes far beyond clinical support. Families can access a range of services including respite and short‑break care, specialist therapies (play, music, physio, occupational and psychological support), practical guidance, and 24‑hour phone support. Care is provided at the hospice in Dublin, in hospitals, or directly in the family home through their Care in the Community team, ensuring families can choose what feels right for them.

Howden’s partnership will help support the free-of-charge care that LauraLynn provides to families across Ireland. To support Howden and the LauraLynn 24-hour challenge, donate here: https://benevity .go.link/5QGkx
