What are the different types of guarantees?
There are several types of guarantees, here are the main ones:
- Market deposit Used in public or private markets to guarantee obligations (submission, good execution, refund of advance payment, guarantee of perfect completion).
- Financial caution demanded by regulatory authorities (for example: real estate agents, travel agents, temporary employment agencies, insurance brokers...)
- Customs and tax caution: Payment guarantee to the administration.
- Environmental caution: Mandatory financial guarantee intended to cover the costs related to the restoration of an industrial site or polluted site at the end of its operation. It allows the state to ensure that funds will be available to clean up or rehabilitate a site, even if the company disappears or becomes insolvent.
