Covering your liability risk is essential to ensure the continuity of your business. Our teams will work with you to find the solutions best suited to your needs.
Insure your risks
The guarantees offered to cover your Civil Liability meet the following definitions:
- General Civil Liability: this covers both Operational/Pre-Delivery Civil Liability and Product/After-Delivery/After-Service Civil Liability.
- Operating/ pre-delivery liability: this covers damage that the company may cause to employees or visitors in the course of its day-to-day operations. It also covers recourse for employer's inexcusable fault in the event of an accident at work or occupational disease, damage to property entrusted to the insured by third parties, and accidental environmental damage under certain conditions.
- Product Liability/After Delivery: this covers damage caused by the company's liability after it has delivered its products/services to its co-contractor. It may be attributable to a latent defect, a manufacturing fault, poor packaging or failure to follow instructions for use.
- Professional Civil Liability: this covers damage attributable to liability incurred by the company as a result of its intellectual services, such as consulting, studies, design, etc.
- Defense and expert appraisal costs: whatever the nature of the liability, the costs of investigation, instruction, expert appraisal, lawyer, trial, arbitration incurred by the insured to defend against a claim are covered by the insurance.
Type of damage covered :
- All types of damage are covered: bodily injury, property damage, consequential loss and non-consequential loss.
Our extended warranties
By way of exception, civil liability cover may be extended to cover pecuniary losses incurred by the insured himself (and no longer by third parties), such as :
- Withdrawal or recall costs incurred by the insured: if a delivered product proves to present a danger to the end consumer, the insurance may cover the costs of a recall or withdrawal campaign for these products.
- Removal and reinstallation costs incurred by the insured: if the product installed by the insured is part of an assembly and the product proves to be defective, the insurance may cover the cost of removing and reinstalling the product.
- Prevention costs: costs incurred by the insured to prevent the occurrence of a covered loss or to limit its aggravation.
- Defense costs in the event of a criminal claim: when the company is held criminally liable, the policy may cover legal fees incurred by the insured.
- Recourse costs: under certain conditions, the policy may cover legal fees incurred by the insured to take legal action against a person who has caused him or her damage.
- Environmental liability and ecological damage: this covers the administrative liability incurred by the insured under European Directive 2004/35/EC, as well as civil liability for ecological damage.
All cover and deductibles are listed in the Table of Cover in the Policy Schedule.
