Insurance for Clubs

Including Players, Volunteers, Member Associations and Regional Associations

Tennis Australia, in collaboration with our insurance broker, Howden, has have developed a National Insurance Program to protect affiliated Clubs and other insured entities across the tennis community.

Cover for your tennis related activities anywhere in Australia, as and when you need it.

Program coverage

Sports Injury/Personal Accident Insurance

This insurance is for players that are injured whilst playing tennis or coaching/being coached or being otherwise involved in an approved tennis related activity (please see FAQs page for more information on what constitutes a tennis related activity). It provides benefits for death, permanent disability and loss of income as well as cover for non-Medicare medical expenses and other costs associated with the injury sustained whilst playing or coaching or being otherwise involved in an approved tennis related activity.

Combined Liability (Public & Products Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance)

This type of policy can help protect your club or other insured entity against the financial risk of being found liable to a third party for death or injury, loss of or damage to property or ‘pure’ economic loss (i.e. financial loss) resulting from the negligence of your club (or insured entity).

Management Liability Insurance

This covers a range of financial risks for your directors and officers which arise out of the management of your club/association/organisation and can cover some of the costs associated with employee issues (i.e. stealing funds from the club).

Cyber Insurance

This insurance can help protect your club from cyber attacks, as well as other cyber issues such as ransomware and extortion, unintended and accidental disclosure, and loss of confidential data.
