Claim process
How to submit a claim
Step 1
If you have a suspected or known cyber event immediate notification to the Incident Response Hotline (Breach Counsel) is critical.
Breach Counsel details are as follows:

Hotline:+61 2 9053 2399
Email: [email protected]
Breach counsel will arrange a triage call to discuss the details of the incident and start making recommendations. The purpose of the scoping call is to understand what has happened and provide a roadmap of immediate next steps as we begin the investigation and incident response.
Once you notify your claim, your assigned claims manager will work directly with you via breach counsel to guide your personalised, rapid incident response.
Who may be engaged in the incident response?
- Privacy counsel/breach counsel are your centralised point of contact as the policyholder and are engaged on scoping calls to protect the investigation under privilege and the work product doctrine. They coordinate any additional experts and provide legal guidance and support throughout the incident. In the event of a data breach, they help organisations determine obligations under applicable laws and regulations and draft any necessary notification letters to impacted individuals.
- Digital forensic firms provide insights on how threat actors gained access, what they accessed, and how to stop the spread. Forensics help paint a full picture of what an organisation is dealing with while providing actionable advice to limit harm and recover data.
- Coverage and monitoring counsel assists insurers with their investigation of coverage following a cyber incident. They ensure efficient determinations regarding available coverage under the policy and facilitate a prompt and efficient response to cyber incidents. They interact closely with privacy counsel and the policyholder, running their investigation parallel to the unfolding event, enabling transparency between all parties involved.
- Public relations experts with deep experience in crisis communications, there to protect your business from reputations harm.
