Howden Puri is a specialist broker, comprising local experience with global expertise. Our bespoke service is tailored to your business’ unique risks and opportunities, and we are always striving to deliver innovative, tech-based solutions for our clients. Our corporate branch is in Kinondoni and we also have a retail branch in the CBD.
In early 2018, Howden launched a strategic partnership with B R Puri & Company Limited to form Howden Puri. B R Puri is the oldest insurance broker in Tanzania, and was one of the first established in the country over 60 years ago. During that time, we have built strong relationships in the local market and gained unrivalled experience working with insurers around the world.
As Howden Puri, we combine Puri’s local experience and expertise with Howden’s international reach. To our local clients, we offer access to Howden’s global network - present in more than 90 territories worldwide. As the only global Top 20 broker with a presence in Tanzania, we also offer our international clients a direct access to local Tanzanian brokers with pedigree.

Around 800 of Howden Group employees are shareholders, with a plan in place to increase that number; by 2020, we aim for 1 in 3 employees worldwide to own shares.
