Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice is to inform you as the data subject about the collection and processing of your personal data, collected from all sources, whether through manual or digital processes, in compliance with RA 10173 – The Data Privacy Act of 2012. Herein, “Howden”, “we” and “our” means Howden Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers (Phil), Inc. (HIRBPI), and its subsidiaries and associated companies.

Data we collect

When you inquire or request our service, we will ask you to submit information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, mobile/telephone number, and other necessary personal/sensitive information to identify you and understand your needs. You are under no obligation to provide such information. However, if you should choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to respond to you or provide certain services.

How the information is used 

Howden will use the information you provide to:

• handle your request to implement our service or product

• carry out research on customer demographics, interests and behavior

• send you risk management tips

• share details of related new products and services

• identify website visitors

• improve the content of our web page

How the information is processed and shared

Information may be disclosed or shared by HIRBPI to its subsidiaries, and related companies (view related companies at https://www.howdengroupholdings.com/about-us/our-story ), its associates, and partners, to provide services or implement transactions when you have requested, allowed or authorized this.

HIRBPI may disclose the information if required to do so by law or if it believes that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property, or personal safety of Howden, the site, or its visitors.

HIRBPI may disclose aggregate statistics about site visitors and customers to describe services to prospective partners, advertisers, and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will include no personally identifiable information.

Information may continue to be processed, collected, used, stored, or disclosed for five (5) years from your last transaction date with HIRBPI or until the expiration of the retention limits set by applicable laws, whichever comes later.

Rights of the Data Subject

In processing your personal data, you have the right to:

• be informed that your personal data will be, are being, or were collected and processed

• access a copy of any information relating to you

• object, correct, erase or block the personal data

• data portability assuring you remain in control of your data

• complain to the Commission

• transmissibility of rights to your legal assignee or lawful heir

Security

Howden places foremost importance on the security of all personally identifiable information associated with our customers. We have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of customer data under our control. For example, our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary, and only authorized personnel have access to user information. While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse, or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this.

Management of the information collected by HIRBPI will be governed by the HIRBPI Data Privacy Policy. If we change our privacy policy in any way, we will provide adequate notification to concerned parties regarding the matter.
