Willy Ignatius

Willy joined the company as President Director on 1st August 2012 to lead Howden Indonesia.
 
Before joining Howden, Willy was the Senior Vice President for Corporate Risks of Aon Indonesia. Prior to joining Aon, he was the Operations Directors of JLT in Jakarta, responsible for its operation in Indonesia. Willy had various roles as insurance and reinsurance broker, both locally and overseas, with more than 16 years of experience.
 
Areas of expertise include Property Insurance, Business Interruption, Liability, Construction, Marine, SME, and Affinity.
 
Willy obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, Bandung. He later obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance from Glasgow Caledonian University, United Kingdom. He holds a Master's Degree in Insurance & Risk Management from The City University Business School, London (now Cass Business School, UK). He also has professional qualifications in insurance from the Associate Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Willy also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Armand

Armand joined Howden on 1st August 2012 as Marketing Director. He is leading the strategic development of the business.

Prior to joining Howden, Armand had been the Marketing Director of JLT, Jakarta. Prior to joining JLT, Armand spent 5 years as a Site Engineer with Ballast Nedham in the Netherlands, and 2 years as Risk Manager of Asia Pulp & Paper (Singapore) the largest integrated pulp & paper company in Asia.

With a strong engineering & risk focused background, Armand managed the risk insurance procurement & management of PJB (Pembangkitan Jawa Bali) a subsidiary of PLN with 7 power plants in East Java & Sulawesi. Armand also managed an operational IPP called Energi Sengkang and in 2007 was appointed as Energy Broker for Medco, who have two operational power plants, “O&M” contract, 2 Petrochemical plants and oil and gas operation upstream as well as downstream.

Armand has a strong knowledge of energy, oil and gas sectors both upstream and downstream, and control of well. Armand has more than 15 years' experience.

Armand obtained his bachelor degree in civil engineering from Haagse Hogeschool Sector Techniek, Civiele Techniek, Den Haag, The Netherlands. He holds the professional qualification Certified Professional Risk Management (CPRM).  Armand also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Violetha

Violetha joined Howden on 15 August 2012 as Senior Vice President to lead the restructuring of our Employee Benefits business platform. She revamped the Health and Benefits divisions in order to provide better servicing quality for clients.

Prior to joining Howden, Violetha was the Assistant Vice President at Marsh Indonesia, handling Employee Benefits clients. Violetha was responsible for business development which includes participation in group Employee Benefits insurance brokering tenders, cross-selling initiatives, and creating insurance solutions tailor-made to meet client requirements.

Previously, she worked for JLT for 13 years where for 7 years she was focusing on the Employee Benefits sector. Violetha was the pioneer when JLT was starting up their Employee Benefits division back in 2004. She was responsible for business development and client servicing. She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance broker industry.

Violetha's areas of expertise include Group Term Life, Group Medical, Group Personal Accident, Expatriate Cover, Group Credit Life, Pension Plans as well as Group Travel Coverage.

Violetha obtained her degree in law from Universitas Kristen Indonesia. She also has insurance professional qualifications from Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Violetha also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Firman Amersyah

Vice President, Strategic Business Development

Firman joined Howden in December 2013 as Assistant Vice President in Strategic Business Development. He is responsible for developing business strategically across the company. Part of his responsibility is to develop bespoke initiatives for our clients.
 
Prior to joining Howden, Firman worked at Aon as Manager in the Corporate Risks Services Division, where he handled various major clients as well as Lippo group business. Part of his focus is also to develop affinity initiatives with corporate risks services. Previously, he also worked for JLT, handling corporate and industrial clients for 4 years and prior to that he was working for one of the major banks in Bandung, Panin Bank as internal auditor. He has more than 15 years' experience in insurance.
 
Firman graduated from Bina Nusantara University, majoring in computerised accounting. He has professional qualifications from ANZIIF, CIP, Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Firman has also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Assistant Vice President, Health & Benefit

Erick joined Howden in September 2013 as Assistant Manager in Strategic Business Development, and was promoted in January 2016 to Business Manager. He was given a new role to lead Health and Benefits in June 2016. He is responsible for client servicing in Employee Benefits, making sure we meet our clients' high expectations.
 
Prior to joining Howden, Erick worked with Aon for 2 years as an Account Executive and was responsible for new business and existing client development for global and referral business for Aon worldwide. Erick has more than 8 years' experience in the industry.
 
Erick graduated from STIMRA Trisakti and holds professional qualifications from Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Erick also qualified at Level 5 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Rusan

Rusan Abubakar

Vice President, General Non-EB Risks

Rusan joined Howden in December 2013 as Assistant Vice President in the General Non-EB Risks. Part of his responsibility is overall management and coordination of all general and non-employee benefit risks, ranging from corporate, industry, marine, SME, affinity and financial risks.
 
Prior to joining Howden Rusan worked at Aon, handling large corporate clients.

Rusan has extensive experience and knowledge in handling a variety of large and complex risks, ranging from industrial risks to palm mill risks to telecommunication risks. He has more than 15 years' experience as a professional broker.

Rusan graduated from Krisnadwipayana University, majoring in economic and he holds professional insurance qualifications, Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Rusan also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Ega

Ega Napitupulu

Vice President, Corporate & Industrial Risks

Since 2010, Ega was part of the Business Development team of Ultramas, which was acquired by Howden in 2012. Following the restructuring Ega found her passion leading the corporate and industry team as Assistant Vice President. Part of her responsibility is also to re-initiate marine focus.
Ega had previously worked for the insurance company Asuransi Sinar Mas for 13 years, where she led and grew the major risks team. She has over 15 years' experience in the insurance industry,  
She has extensive knowledge and experience in Property & Industrial Risks Insurance, Commercial General Liability, and Motor Vehicle.

Ega Graduated from Universitas Trisakti, majoring in Economics.  She holds professional insurance qualifications, Ajun Ahli Asuransi Kerugian-Indonesia (AAAI-K), Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB).
Ega also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Vice President, Financial, SME, & Affinity Risks

Subur joined Howden in September 2012. Subur leads our Financial Risks, Small Medium Enterprise and Affinity Risks division as Assistant Vice President. Part of his responsibility in SME, Affinity is to handle large chain-business risks like chain-shops, warehouses, and restaurants as well as motor fleet risks. Subur is one of the key initiators in developing our online insurance facility.
He is also responsible for developing specialty solutions to financial risk for local businesses, including Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity, Trade Credit risks and the like.
 
Prior to joining Howden, Subur was working for JLT to focus on corporate and energy risk, handling major and complex risks. Previously he worked for a Japanese insurance company, MSIG Insurance, focusing on small and medium enterprise. He has more than 15 years' experience in the industry. Subur's areas of expertise include property insurance, motor vehicles insurance and various insurances for small and medium enterprise.
 
Subur graduated from Universitas Brawijaya with a Finance major. He also holds a master degree in Corporate Finance from the same university. He holds professional qualification Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Subur also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Rudi

Rudi Tampubolon

Vice President, Claims & risk management

Rudi joined Howden in March 2013 as Assistant Vice President for Claims and Risks Management. He leads the restructuring of Non-EB claims. In addition to heading up our claims team, he is responsible for implementing Risk Management initiatives as part of our value added proposition to clients. 

Prior to joining Howden, Rudi worked for Rama Insurance as Risks Engineer and Claims Manager for 7 years, managing various major and complex risks. Previously, he also had experience working as both insurer and broker. He has more than 17 years of overall experience in the insurance industry.

Rudi graduated from North Sumatera University, Medan in 1995, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He holds professional qualifications of Ahli Asuransi Indonesia-Kerugian (AAIK), APAI, CIIB and also certified as Ahli K‐3 (Ahli Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja) by Dinas Tenaga Kerja of Republic Indonesia. Rudi also qualified at Level 7 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Dr. Reza joined Howden in May 2015 as an Assistant Manager for Claims and Case Management in the Health and Benefit division.
 
Prior to joining Howden, Dr Reza worked for PT. Marsh Indonesia.
 
Dr. Reza graduated from Veteran University, Jakarta in 2009 as a General Practitioner. He is registered IDI (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia) and he has also participated in several accredited IDI trainings. Dr. Reza also holds a certificate as "Hiperkes dan Keselamatan Kerja bagi Dokter Perusahaan / Instansi" issued by Dinas Tenaga Kerja of Republic Indonesia.

Meini joined Howden in October 2012 as Assistant Account Executive in Corporate Industry Risks Division. Having been promoted in January 2019 as Business Manager, she was given a new role to lead Corporate Risks. She is responsible for client servicing in Corporate Risks area and making sure we meet our clients' expectations.

Prior to joining Howden, Meini spent 15 years in the insurance industry in many various roles with the responsibility to serve major clients.

Meini graduated from STIE MH Thamrin and she also holds professional qualifications Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reassurance Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Meini also qualified at Level 5 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Assistant Manager, Engineering Risks

Denni joined Howden in December 2014 as Assistant Account Executive in Corporate Industry Risks Division after completed his studies at STIKOM Interstudi. Having been promoted in January 2020 to Assistant Manager, he was given a new role to lead Engineering Risks. He is responsible for growth and client servicing in Industry Risks.

Denni also holds professional qualification Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reassurance Indonesia (APAI). Denni qualified at Level 5 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.

Alan Sabaruddin

Claims Executive, Marine Risks

Alan joined Howden in August 2015 as Assistant Claims Executive in our Claims and Risk Management Division after completed his Bachelor Degree at Diponegoro University as a Naval Architecture Engineer. In January 2020, he was given a new role to extend his knowledge and experience to lead Marine & Transport Risks. He is responsible for expanding and client servicing in Marine & Transport Risks.

Alan is currently pursuing his professional qualifications in insurance broking.

Gilang joined Howden in April 2015 as Account Executive in Financial SME & Affinity Risks Division. Having been promoted in January 2019 to Business Manager, he was given a new role to lead Financial Specialty Risks & JBI. He is responsible for client servicing in Financial Specialty Risks area and making sure we meet our clients' expectations.

Prior to joining Howden, Gilang worked with PT. Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) for 5 years as marketing.

Gilang completed his Bachelor Degree of Sociology in the Faculty of Social & Political Sciences at the University of Indonesia. He also holds professional qualification Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reassurance Indonesia (APAI). Gilang also qualified at Level 5 for professional Insurance Broker certification based on Indonesian regulation.
