Data Protection Trustmark

Howden Insurance Brokers (S.) Pte. Limited ("Howden") is the first insurance broker in Singapore to be awarded the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM), demonstrating our commitment to sound data protection policies.

Data helps us to better understand our clients and develop services and products to best serve their needs. With the ever-growing volume of data, it is vital that we safeguard the information entrusted to us. As part of Howden's continued efforts to ensure the security of clients’ data remain an utmost priority, we are proud to announce that Howden is officially Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) certified.

Administered by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the DPTM certification is adapted from Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and international benchmarks and best practices. It is a visible indicator that organisations adopt sound data protection practices to manage personal data.

The DPTM is awarded only to businesses who have data protection regimes that are fully compliant with Singapore's PDPA.To obtain the certification, organisations are required to pass a set of robust and comprehensive criteria based on the key principles: Governance and Transparency, Management and Care of Personal Data and Individuals’ Rights. Till date, just over 100 companies have been awarded this certification.

The DPTM certification further strengthens Howden's position as a leading insurance broker, with sound and robust data protection practices. As a trusted broker, it assures our clients, employees and business partners that we have due policies and processes to protect the data that we collect in compliance with PDPA and the industry’s best practices.
