Our 2025 sustainability report highlights how we’re helping to tackle climate and nature risks, supporting communities on the frontline of climate change, and building a business we’re all proud to be part of.

What we've achieved so far

The report demonstrates how insurance can unlock new opportunities such as supporting investment in the low-carbon transition and developing innovative solutions for emerging risks.

Through Humanity Insured, we’re extending protection for those who need it most, providing over £33 million of insurance coverage to 1.69 million people, many receiving insurance protection for the first time – all within the charity's first year.

We also celebrate the work of the Howden Foundation, which deployed £2.7 million to climate resilience partners, helping communities around the world build resilience to extreme weather and its impacts.

The report also highlights the extraordinary contribution made by our people. Across the globe, colleagues continue to volunteer their time and raise crucial funds to support the causes that matter to them, helping communities and charities create lasting impact.

As our business grows, we’re identifying the major global challenges where insurance can make the greatest difference. These will become the goals that guide our efforts in the years ahead, helping us create value for clients, colleagues and communities.
