What we do

We provide services for existing benefits, set-up of new plans and harmonisation of the benefits in case of mergers and/or acquisitions.

Our services do not stop at borders. Our offering extends globally to all major markets for multi-national clients.

This allows Howden to co-ordinate a general employee benefits strategy, with local contact points across the globe.

Our 4-step process

1. Analysis and benchmarking

We offer a fundamental analysis of existing plans based on guarantees, cost structure, claims statistics, etc. This includes the mapping of potential gaps and overlaps.
 
Next to this, we offer benchmarking services where we compare plans with market practise, industry peers or competitors.
 
Should an employer have no existing benefit plans, we present our recommendations based on our expertise.

2. Market Study

We conduct a full market study based on our recommendations during the analysis. Multiple providers are consulted in function of the choice of coverage and preference of the investment method. (Branch 21, 23 or mixed.)

We present the results of our study and benchmarking exercise to all appropriate stakeholders to allow an informed discussion and decision on all potential optimizations.

3. Implementation

Upon agreement, Howden Belgium supports the implementation of the new/adapted policies both with insurers and client. This includes:

  • Communication to all affiliates (presentations, individual calculation sheets…)
  • Review of all data files (appendices, policies, data upload…)
  • Informing the necessary parties (Board of directors, etc…)

4. After Service

As your broker we continue the support for all contracts. Regular follow-up meetings can be set-up with the client and insurers to go over pending matters.
 
If needed, we intervene between the HR-department and the insurer to resolve outstanding problems in regards to day-to-day administration.
