Howden Germany: Jens-Peter Oblau to succeed Axel Meyer on Executive Board effective January 1, 2027

Munich, September 16, 2026 – The Executive Board of Howden Deutschland AG (HDAG) has proactively arranged its succession planning: Axel Meyer will step down from his position on the Executive Board effective September 30, 2026. Jens-Peter Oblau will take over the position on January 1, 2027. Meyer will remain connected to Howden Deutschland for a further year in an advisory capacity.

About Axel Meyer
Axel Meyer (65) joined the management of Howden Caninenberg in 2016, following previous roles at Willis and AON, and has been a member of the Executive Board since the founding of Howden Deutschland AG in 2023. During this time, he played an active role in shaping the integration and further development of Howden Deutschland, taking responsibility for, among others, the Corporate, Real Estate, Specie, and Affinity divisions.

Jens-Peter Oblau (57) has been connected to the corporate group for more than 25 years. He began his career at Howden Caninenberg as an authorized signatory (Prokurist), subsequently took on deputy and later full leadership of the Real Estate business division, and following the founding of Howden Deutschland AG in 2023, became a member of the Management Board and part of HDAG's core leadership circle.
