About Howden
In 1994, three London brokers decided to start a business together – a business they could grow for the long term, and be proud of. They created an insurance broker with independence, employee-ownership and clients’ needs at front of mind.
Meanwhile, in Germany, several other groups of entrepreneurs were forming insurance brokers that would go on to make a make a big impact. Over time, we found each other to be kindred spirits and partnerships formed.
We have grown into a multinational business, but remained true to the same approach. It has won us long-standing clients, some of the best talent in the industry and a few awards for our trophy cabinet.
