Specialists in insurance procurement.
Why use a specialist in insurance procurement?
Howdens' tender team has been working with tenders and EU tenders for over a decade. We have carried out numerous tenders and have vast experience. The tender team analyzes the offers, evaluates the quality and relevance in relation to your needs, and helps identify the most suitable bidder.
You will get a specialist with an understanding of procurement processes and insurance knowledge, which will optimize your procurement results. We also ensure that EU procurement rules are followed, and we are updated on changes in legislation as well as new judgments and decisions in the field.

The tender team focuses on details and creates structure, ensuring that Howden's clients can achieve their tender objectives within the established timeline.
The tender team at Howden handles both public and non-public tenders. We have experience with both.
The non-public tenders span all of our clients' industries, and our strength lies in our deep insurance knowledge and attention to detail, ensuring that the right solution is chosen. We incorporate data and insights from all relevant bidders, allowing us to provide strong advisory services and unique solutions.
EU tenders
EU tenders are conducted under both the Public Procurement Act and the Utilities Directive, with particular experience in the sectors of Public, Housing, and Utilities.
Our team of tender specialists adheres to the highest standards of transparency and proper management of public funds. We have experience with tender platforms such as Mercell and CTM/EU-Supply, development of evaluation models, market dialogue, and negotiated tenders. We understand the importance of a realistic timeline for achieving a satisfactory tender outcome, ensuring that legally regulated deadlines are met, while also ensuring that the timeline aligns with practical requirements, such as in the tendering of cross-border insurance coverage or layered insurance solutions. When large, complex projects are in EU tenders, foreign bidders are often involved, and the Tender Team also has experience in verifying the necessary documentation, including through the use of E-certis.
A trusting collaboration with the bidders
We take pride in the trusted collaboration our Tender Specialists have with bidders. We hold regular meetings with the leading insurance companies in the market and engage in ongoing dialogue about product development, risk appetite, and the market in general.
Negotiation
The strong and trusting relationship with bidders also creates the best negotiation opportunities in non-public tenders (the framework for public tenders is strictly regulated). We ensure fair competition and that the best possible value for money is achieved.
Compliance
Our experienced specialists minimize the risk of errors, irregularities, or legal consequences. They ensure that all necessary procedures and documentation are correct and meet legal requirements.
