Howden's primary task is to keep the client at the center and simplify the process in handling liability claims. This applies from the moment we receive the claim to when we make a final decision and communicate this to both the claimant and the client. Our goal is to ensure that both the claimant and our client receive a correct decision regarding the raised compensation claim.

Since each liability claim is unique, we tailor our handling specifically to each case. We assess whether the claim should be handled internally at Howden or reported to an insurance company. If the latter is the case, we act as the liaison for the client in relation to the claims process with the insurance company, always keeping the client at the forefront.

The goal of our liability claims team is to ensure that correct decisions are made in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and to provide the client with a legally sound assessment. We assist the client in evaluating the case, ask the necessary questions, and present the decision to the client, who can then agree or disagree. We also communicate the final decision to the claimant. We work closely with our clients throughout the process and provide the necessary guidance.

Sometimes, our clients also have compensation claims against a wrongdoer. We help raise and pursue recovery claims against the responsible party and assist clients in obtaining compensation for their costs of remedying the damage.
