From Howden’s foundation in 1994, the driving motivation was to build a great company that’s owned by the people who work for it. Our vision is to be a great global business that we're proud of—one that clients, markets, and partners love, and that's using our collective power to challenge how the world sees risk and insurance.

We have operated in the US for more than a decade—both through DUAL, one of the world's largest managing general agents, and through Howden Re, one of only four global reinsurance brokers. We've also worked for many years supporting US-domiciled clients as their wholesale broker in international markets, with more than $18 billion of US premiums negotiated at present.

We've been waiting for the right time to expand our US offering to the retail market—the biggest, most dynamic insurance market in the world.
