Drew is the Managing Director of Howden M&A, Europe’s leading M&A insurance broker with a team of almost 100 M&A experts based across 11 European jurisdiction. As head of the team Drew is ultimately responsible for ensuring that Howden M&A continues to set the gold standard when it comes to the placement of M&A insurance. Drew has led the placement on a number of the largest and most complex tax risk insurance policies placed in the European market. Prior to joining Howden, was a Director at Barclays Bank working on Barclays’ proprietary M&A transactions. Drew is a chartered accountant. Ella is an Executive Director at Howden M&A. Prior to joining Howden M&A in 2015, Ella worked in Howden’s International Property team where she specialised in handling claims in the South American and APAC regions. At Howden M&A Ella specialises in the placement of W&I insurance on UK and pan-European transactions. Ella has a first class BA Honours in History and Politics from the University of Westminster.

Gennadiy is a Managing Director at Howden M&A. Prior to joining Howden, Gennadiy was a vice president in Citigroup’s investment banking practice in Frankfurt and Moscow. At Howden M&A Gennadiy has led the placement of some of the most complex and sizeable transactions in the German market. Gennadiy holds a diploma in business administration from the University of Mannheim and Warwick Business School. He is fluent in English, German, Russian and Ukrainian. Outside of work Gennadiy is a committed tennis player and always keen to converse about Russian literature or German politics.

Alexander is an Executive Director and Head of Nordics at Howden M&A. Prior to joining Howden M&A, Alexander worked at Kromann Reumert in Copenhagen within the corporate M&A and IT department. At Howden M&A, Alexander focusses on W&I insurance on M&A transactions that have a Nordic angle, e.g. involve Nordic clients or target companies. Alexander has a Masters of Law degree from the University of Copenhagen and is fluent in Danish, English and German. Carl is a Director and Head of Sweden at Howden M&A. Carl has over 8 years of experience working as a corporate lawyer in Sweden at tier 1 law firms advising on both public and private, domestic and international transactions across a wide array of industry sectors. Carl holds a Master of Laws from Stockholm university and a Master of Science in Business & Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. Carl speaks fluent English and Swedish.

Prior to joining Howden, Diana worked for a leading international law firm (DLA Piper) with a particular focus on corporate law and M&A transactions. Diana was a qualified Attorney-at-Law in Denmark, and holds a Masters degree from the University of Aarhus. Further, she has worked as a teacher in Law of Obligations at the University of Copenhagen. At Howden M&A, Diana focusses on W&I insurance on M&A transactions that have a Nordic angle, e.g. involve Nordic clients or target companies. Enrique has more than 14 years of experience as a business lawyer specialized in M&A. Prior to joining Howden Iberia, he developed his professional career in the firms Linklaters and Deloitte Legal, in their offices in Madrid. Enrique holds a degree in law and a master's degree in Business Law from IE Business School. Along with his professional experience, Enrique has taught at the Universidad Carlos III, IE Business School and the Madrid Bar Association, among other institutions, on issues related to commercial law and M&A. Outside of work, Enrique enjoys playing golf and basketball and travelling.

Frederik is a Managing Director at Howden M&A. Prior to joining Howden M&A, Frederik worked at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek where he focussed primarily on national and cross-border private equity transactions. At Howden M&A Frederik leads our Benelux business, utilising his experience as an M&A attorney to advise clients on M&A insurance (structuring) solutions for their transactions. Prior to joining Howden M&A, Giulia worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (Milan) and, before that, at BonelliErede, where she focused on corporate M&A and private equity transactions. At Howden M&A, Giulia leads the Italian business utilising her experience as an M&A attorney to advise clients on M&A insurance, structuring solutions for their transactions. Giulia holds a law degree from Bocconi University in Milan and an LLM master degree from the London School of Economics. She is fluent in Italian and English. At Howden M&A Julia specializes in W&I insurance in CEE region in M&A and real estate transactions. Lucie is an Executive Director and heads the Howden M&A French team. Before joining our London office in 2017, Lucie started her career as a French corporate M&A lawyer at Latournerie Wolfrom Avocats. Today, she is one of the most experienced French M&A insurance brokers, thanks to her 8 years of practice in this industry.

Severin is an Executive Director at Howden M&A. Prior to joining Howden, Severin was co-founder of a London-based FinTech VC company. He also worked at Citigroup’s investment banking team in Frankfurt. At Howden M&A Severin advises clients on M&A insurance solutions for their transactions. Severin holds a Ph.D. in finance from the Goethe University Frankfurt and a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mannheim and the Copenhagen Business School. He is fluent in English and German. Outside of work Severin enjoys mountain climbing, photography and good wine.

Nikhil is a Director at Howden M&A and leads the placement of W&I and specific risk insurance policies on UK and multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions. Nikhil also co-leads the specialist secondaries practice at Howden M&A, having been at the forefront of insurance innovation in this part of the market over the last four years. He previously worked in the London and Delhi offices of a large Indian law firm. He also actively supports Howden M&A's initiatives in development of new business in emerging markets, including India. Nikhil is dual qualified in UK and India, and holds a Masters in Corporate Law (MCL) from University of Cambridge.

Prior to joining Howden M&A, Ajay worked in the Middle East at Acuma Wealth Management where he specialised in providing financial advice to UK and European expatriates across the UAE and wider GCC countries. Beatriz is a Director at Howden M&A. Prior to joining Howden M&A, Beatriz worked as a corporate M&A lawyer at CMS and Spanish-based law firm ECIJA where she advised domestic and international clients in M&A and real estate transactions. At Howden M&A Beatriz works in the Iberia team advising in the placement of W&I policies in Spain and Portugal. Beatriz has a Double Degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is fluent in Spanish, English and French. Prior to joining Howden, Charles-Henri began his career at BNP Paribas before joining international law firm Gide as part of the Business Development team, holding positions in Paris and Shanghai during his tenure. Most recently Charles-Henri was head of Business Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Herbert Smith Freehills and a member of the firm’s EMEA Executive Committee. Charles-Henri leads Howden M&A's Business Development function across Continental Europe, building the brand profile with investment funds, lawyers, M&A bankers, corporates and the financial services industry.

Hannah focuses on Real Estate transactions in the UK and continental Europe. Hannah has a MA (Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Edinburgh and having worked in Brussels and studied in Madrid, speaks French and Spanish.

Prior to joining Howden, he worked for leading law firms (Freshfields and Schönherr, a leading Austrian law firm) with a particular focus on corporate law and M&A transactions and Bilfinger, a leading German-based industrial services provider, on the execution of M&A transactions from a legal perspective. Peter holds a degree in law from the University of Vienna, a PhD from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt and a degree in international relations from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). Prior to joining, Tze Yang qualified as an advocate and solicitor at Allen & Gledhill LLP, Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions department. Marta coordinates the business development strategy for Howden M&A Iberia. Prior to her current role, Marta spent her first three years at Howden M&A as a W&I broker in the Spanish market. Before that, Marta worked in the wider Howden group as a Financial lines Executive Accountant looking for insurance solutions for banks, investment and private equity funds. Marta has a bachelor degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance from CUNEF University in Madrid. Outside of work Marta enjoys travelling, yoga and socialising with friends.

Simon is a Director at Howden M&A. Simon worked in Howden M&A’s London office for 5 years before relocating to Hong Kong to establish the Hong Kong office in 2022. Prior to joining Howden M&A, Simon worked in the corporate finance and investment banking industries for 6 years, initially at PwC and then at Cameron Partners (Rothschild's strategic alliance partner in New Zealand). At Howden M&A Simon works on transactions across all industries with a particular focus on placing policies for private equity client acquiring complex multi-jurisdictional targets. Simon has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics), both from the University of Otago in New Zealand.
