The HIPPO project was launched along the Chao Phraya River, the main waterway flowing through central Thailand, which annually sees approximately 4 million kilograms of plastic waste. The solar-powered HIPPO system can capture up to 1.4 million kilograms of plastic waste per year from the river, reducing the amount of plastic that would flow into the Thai seas, and contributing to environmental sustainability."
