James has over 8 years of experience providing bespoke insurance solutions to global M&A transactions. Before Howden, James was a senior member of other leading brokers including Marsh JLT working in both their London and Singapore offices. James is a qualified solicitor having practiced with Norton Rose Fulbright LLP until 2015. Whilst at Marsh JLT he was a Regional Assistant Director for Asia with direct responsibility for all South Asian M&A insurance solutions. James has placed numerous M&A policies for Asian clients including sovereign wealth funds, major corporate entities and private equity entrants. He successfully placed the first ever insurance policy for a Papua New Guinea insured transaction.
