Eugene leads Howden’s Tax Insurance Practice in Asia, working with clients to deploy insurance solutions to manage complex tax risks across transactions, restructurings, and ongoing operations. As one of Asia’s most experienced tax insurance specialists, he previously led the regional tax insurance team of a global insurance broker from 2020 to 2025, playing a key role in shaping the product’s early growth. He has placed tax liability policies across major jurisdictions including Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China, and pioneered coverage for tax risks in Indonesian and Vietnamese tax risks. Before joining the industry, Eugene spent over a decade at PwC Singapore, specialising in fund structuring and tax optimisation for private equity and real asset investments across Asia Pacific.
