Chye Huat joined Howden in October 2015, bringing with him over 25 years of industry experience. He was appointed as the regional CEO for Howden Asia in January 2016, where he has management and strategic oversight on its retail broking operations across six Asian countries and IPG Howden, a leading high networth life insurance broker that operates across Asia, and EMEA.

Jenny was appointed the CEO of Howden Singapore in May 2022. Prior to her appointment, Jenny served as a member of Howden Singapore Executive Committee for more than 6 years, during which she headed the Financial Lines portfolio, growing it more than 3 times and building up respectable specialisms including Financial Institutions, Cyber, Healthcare and M&A. Before Howden, Jenny worked with an international insurance broking firm for more than 15 years, initially focusing on business development for all lines of insurance and subsequently heading a professional & executive risks team.

Heading Strategy and Operations, Gerard’s focus is to drive operational efficiency that enables the execution of business strategies for Howden Singapore. He also supports the Asia regional office on strategy development. Gerard has more than 30 years of insurance experience and have developed various strategic solutions for clients. Prior to joining Howden, Gerard was the head of Business Development at an international insurance broking firm and held various roles as an insurer.

Gracy has more than 30 years’ experience in insurance broking with focus in Construction, Property and Liability insurance. She leads the Corporate Risks division in offering insurance solutions to corporate clients across all industries with local and overseas operations. Prior to Howden, Gracy held similar positions in two other international insurance broking firms where she worked with risk and insurance managers, finance and procurement officers in both the public and private sectors. She has structured relevant insurance for the first REIT listed in Singapore, managed the insurance programme for several underground rail and road construction projects and worked with government statutory boards in achieving cost-coverage optimisation while keeping to the strict procurement procedures.

Primus is the Employee Benefits Practice Leader for Howden Singapore & Asia. He is also a member of the Howden Global Employee Benefits Committee and Howden Singapore Executive Committee. Primus has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years, with a specialty in Employee Benefits insurance broking for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Howden, Primus held positions as Practice Leader for Employee Benefits, Financial Lines & Business Development for 18 years with an international insurance broking firm. His extensive experience and technical capability has nurtured him as a successful insurance broker responsible for securing and managing many major clients.

Edward has over 20 years of experience in technology, media and communications. As the Cyber Regional Director, Edward has helped clients in sectors such as finance, attraction, aerospace, media & entertainment, cloud providers, telcos, and manufacturing, to identify and quantify their cyber risk gaps, transfer these risks to cyber insurance while bolstering organisational incident response and controls. As the cyber practice lead for the region, Edward also conducts training for cyber brokers and clients and develops partnerships in cybersecurity for Howden. Prior to Howden, Edward has managed crisis communications for various teams at a global telco as well as worked on a spectrum of government-led digital strategies to develop Singapore's Infocomm-Media industry locally and regionally.

Karen heads the Financial Lines team with over 19 years of insurance broking experience specialising in financial lines. Prior to joining Howden in 2015, Karen provided a full spectrum of insurance consultancy services for financial lines at another international insurance broking firm for more than 6 years. She has accumulated extensive experience in designing and structuring optimal insurance programmes for top market cap listed companies as well as major private companies.

Mike has over 25 years of experience in Medical Malpractice Insurance. Mike has acted for IHH Healthcare (Parkway) and the MOHH, and has been involved in the negotiation and settlement of a wide range of malpractice claims in Singapore. He joined Howden in 2018 as a Regional Director to head healthcare insurance and is responsible for developing and managing Howden’s healthcare portfolio in Asia. In 2018, Mike also launched an occurrence-based Medical Malpractice Insurance Program for doctors in Singapore.

Hon Kian is the Head of Credit, Surety & Political Risks. Hon Kian has more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. His journey in trade credit insurance began in 2007 as a claim assessor with an insurer, where he assessed and handled claims arising from bonds call, default in loan and trade credit insurances. His experience in claims adds another dimension to his insurance broking which offers assurance to his clients. He provides bespoke solutions and serves banks, non-banks financial institutions, MNC and SME clients in Singapore and overseas.

Tze Yang has been in the APAC M&A market since 2013, specialising in cross-border and international M&A transactions. At Howden, he has worked on insured M&A transactions originating in London, EU, North America as well as APAC, with several cross-border transactions having values over US$1 billion. Before joining Howden in 2017, Tze Yang practiced with a renowned law firm’s Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions department, where he qualified as an advocate and solicitor.

May has more than 30 years of experience in insurance broking at international broking houses, with majority of her career focusing on servicing large and complex corporate clients’ insurance programmes in real estate, hospitality, food & beverage, ports & terminals, electricity and gas transmission and distribution. Her expertise includes risk analysis, structuring, designing, placement and managing of multinational insurance programmes for large and complex corporate clients, covering their operations around the globe.

Stella brings more than 45 years of experience to Howden as Senior Director of Mid Corporate Risks, managing SME commercial accounts. Prior to Howden, Stella worked with various insurance companies, focusing on commercial lines insurance and SMEs in particular. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sompo Insurance between 2013 to 2019. Stella has served as a member of the GIA’s management committee for more than a decade, including a few terms as Vice President. She also served as Chairman of the Agents’ Registration Board for more than a term and has been a member on the Board of Governors and Academic Board of the Singapore College of Insurance.

Majella is the Director of the Corporate Risk team. She has more than 30 years’ experience in general insurance broking, with a special focus in marine and logistics insurance. Majella has worked in several international broking companies servicing major clients and large multinational companies. She has deep expertise across a wide spectrum of marine risks including, but not limited to, general and bulk cargo, stock throughput and terminals and logistics. She was very much involved in the strategic planning, structuring and placement of programmes for undersea equipment and shipments involving classified equipment, livestock and aircrafts that require unique solutions.
