Danny Sever - Executive Chairman

Danny founded Howden's Israel operation in 2003 and formed Howden Broking Group’s first local executive liability specialist.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, beginning his career in the Lloyd’s of London market as a broker, and subsequently joining Israel’s Davidoff Group as a Partner.

The business has since become the leading D&O and Professional Liability retail broker in Israel, and one of the largest non-life brokers in Israel in its own right.

Danny holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Tel Aviv University, and is well recognised in Israel as one of the leading experts in D&O and Professional Liability Insurance.

Danny is a member of the Howden Broking Group board, and a Director of Howden's Swedish operation, Howden Insurance Brokers AB.

Shay Simkin (ACII) - Managing Director

Shay Simkin has been working in the insurance industry for over 20 years.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, which he has been since 1999.  He worked in the London insurance market in diverse positions for three years.

Shay was the co-founder of Engel Simkin Insurance Brokers which was acquired by our Israel operation in November 2003.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Haifa University.

Yitzhak Malik - Deputy Managing Director

Yitzhak (Itzik) Malik has been working at Howden since 2003.  Prior to his work with Howden, Itzik worked at Israel Discount Bank for several years. In a relatively short timespan, Itzik has acquired an extensive experience in Directors' and Officers' liability insurance for publicly traded companies and on specialized covers for initial public offersings, both in Israel and overseas.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Bar Ilan University.

Yariv Kuperman - Chief Financial Officer

Yariv Kuperman worked for BDO Israel for six years and finished as a senior manager handling the auditing processes especially in the banking field.  He started working in Davidoff Group as Assistant to the CFO in 2004 and in 2005 he became Davidoff Group's CFO.

Since February 2007 Yariv serves as Howden's CFO.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Economy and also has a Master's Degree in Business Administration Specializations in Finance and Accounting.

Elad Tubol, Adv. - General Counsel and Claims Manager

Elad has been working at Howden since 2006.  Elad worked in the field of Professional Liability insurance for several years prior to joining Howden.

Dafna Perelmutter, Adv. - Head of Life Science Department

Dafna has been working at Howden since 2003.  In her current
position, Dafna is the manager of the Life Science field: Clinical Trials Insurance and Product Liability.

Dafna was working at Engel-Simkin Insurance Brokers which was acquired by Howden in November 2003.

Dafna holds a Law Degree from The IDC Herzliah- the Radzyner School of Law.

Ran Weinstock, Adv. (LLM) - Head of Client Database Department

Ran joined Howden in 2006. In his current position, Ran is the head of the client database department and a Senior Account Executive.

Ran has been a lawyer since 2004 and holds a Master's degree in Law (LLM) from Bar - Ilan University.  He has specialized in the field of negotianions, mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Howden, Ran was a mediator at the Tel-Aviv District court.

Elad Etzioni - Head of Venture Capital Department

Elad commenced working at Howden Insurance Brokers at the beginning of 2008.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Insurance and MBA majoring in Marketing from Netanya Academic College.

Prior to joining Howden Elad worked at a insurance broker specializing in Directors' and Officer's and Professional Indemnity insurance.

Nezi Dvash - Business Development Manager

Nezi has been working in the insurance industry for over 12 years, and has extensive and in-depth knowledge of the insurance market.

In his past positions prior joining Howden, Nezi provided consultancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients including Multinational, Aviation, Life Science and Pharmaceutical companies.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Insurance and MBS majoring in Marketing from Manchester University.

Ephraim Kriel - Strategic Development Consultant

Ephraim has over 30 years of insurance experience mainly in complex placements for large enterprises with a global presence.

He established his own insurance broking firm in the name of Aminim Insurance Brokers Ltd. which was sold to Aon, to become Aon Israel, in 2006.

In addition, in the late '90s, Ephraim was one of the leading founders of a direct insurance company established in Israel which was later sold.

Ephraim joined Howden in 2011 as a Strategic Development Consultant.

His academic background is in law and world history.
