We offer business insurance designed specifically for the gun trade – including RFDs, gunsmiths, manufacturers, wholesalers, shooting schools, and ranges.

Our goal is to make protection simpler by combining essential business cover with specialist features unique to your sector. Because your business isn’t standard, your insurance shouldn’t be either.

Standard cover includes:

  • Fire

  • Theft

  • Accidental damage

Specialist features for the gun trade

(Cover varies between insurers, but typically includes:)

  • Stock cover – including goods in trust, items held for repair, commission sales, and second‑hand/vintage stock
  • Proof House cover – £50,000 as standard at any UK Proof House, with higher limits available
  • Exhibition/Game Fair cover – stock and stands in the UK up to £50,000, including transit. Higher limits available
  • Goods in transit – £50,000 for UK transit (automatic with Hiscox), with higher limits available (includes cover for your own vehicles and transit by hauliers. Separate Marine Transit cover can be arranged for import and export)
  • Traps cover – included on a case‑by‑case basis
  • Seasonal stock increase – automatic 30 per cent uplift during peak periods (November, December, 30 days prior to Easter, or any other agreed three-month period)
  • Goods on approval/hire – covered as standard up to £3,000

We can also quote for off‑site activities such as shooting clubs and ranges, with special rates available.
