LTA licensed officials
As an LTA Licensed Official working at any LTA recognised event or competition you're protected by public liability, professional indemnity, employers liability and personal accident insurance.
Public liability
The public liability cover operates worldwide and provides a maximum limit of indemnity of £60m in case you are deemed to be the cause of injury to a third party or damage to their property.
Employers' liability insurance
You may have volunteers working for you as part of your programme, in which case you have a duty of care to them under Health and Safety at Work Legislation.
If someone who works for you is injured and holds you responsible, employers' liability insurance will protect you, up to total claim value £10m.
Personal accident
In addition, the LTA has arranged personal accident insurance cover which includes the following payouts:
| Disablement | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Permanent total disablement | up to £50,000 |
| Temporary total disablement | up to £100 per week |
| Death | £5,000 |
The covers operate whilst you are officiating on behalf of the LTA anywhere in the world.
The personal accident insurance includes travel to and from the event, within the UK.
