As a member of British Judo you will receive the benefit of personal accident insurance to protect you whilst participating in our sport.
What is Personal Accident Cover?
Personal Accident insurance provides payments if you are injured whilst taking part in a recognised BJA activity. The cover is 'no fault' which means they will receive the appropriate payment regardless of the cause of the accident.
Cover is provided for any authorised and recognised activity undertaken by a British Judo member, including organised travel to and from such activity within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
Key benefits of your cover in case of an accident:
- Death - £5,000
- Loss of eye(s), limb(s), hearing - £50,000
- Permanent total disability from gainful employment of any and every kind (permanent total disablement from any gainful employment or gainful occupation for which the insured person is fitted for by education training or knowledge) - £50,000
- Hospitalisation (per full 24hrs) - £50 per day, up to 104 weeks
- Convalescence - £200 reduced to £100 if aged over 70 years of age
- Emergency dental expenses - £750 (excess £50 applies)
- Broken arm (humerus, radius, ulna, carpals) - £100
- Broken leg (femur, tibia, fibula, tarsals, patella) - £200
- Broken clavicle or skull - £200
