Atinc Yilmaz - Regional CEO - Turkey, the Middle East & Africa

Atinc Yilmaz graduated with an MBA in Banking & Insurance, a BSc in Business Administration, both from universities in Istanbul, and has specialisation in Insurance & Investment from City University CASS Business School in London. He has also attended Executive Leadership Programs of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and JOCE, SIM of Singapore.

He started his career as a Field Sales Agent and has since worked in various local companies, also working in London during and after his education period. He has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry in various roles, from reinsurance specialty to Regional CEO of international firms. His 22 years career with Marsh saw him occupy many roles such as; director of large clients/risk management, executive director – senior vice president and managing director for Marsh in Turkey, as well as other country management leadership roles. He worked as CEO of Marsh Indonesia in Asia between 2009 and 2012, where he achieved one of the highest growth successes in the business while playing a key role in Marsh Asia Leadership Team. In 2012, he was appointed as CEO of Marsh Emirates in the UAE and also worked as a member of Marsh Middle East Executive team. During his leadership tenure, he successfully transformed the operation into one of the fastest growing in the Middle East, significantly increasing the size, and doubled the profit earnings as industry leader in its field in the entire Middle East and North Africa. In August 2017, Yilmaz was appointed as Regional CEO of Hyperion Insurance Group’s broking business: Howden, in charge of the Turkey, the Middle East and Africa region.

He has received various awards during his insurance career, including Marsh Europe Best Client Servicing Award in 2004, Best Country Performance Award on Power & Utilities in 2005 in EMEA and 2006 Top Global Performers Award of Marsh Inc.


Arvind Kashyapa - Chairman & CEO - United Arab Emirates

After completing his Masters in Business Administration, Arvind started his career in 1981 as a management trainee in The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. in Bombay.  During the next 16 years Arvind worked in various positions at The New India Assurance Co as Branch Manager, Divisional Manager and Senior Divisional Manager. He also acquired the Associate and Fellowship qualifications from the Indian Insurance Institute within the first few years of his career.

Arvind has also worked for the Associate Company of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. at Lagos, Nigeria as Deputy General Manager, where he sat on the Board of the Company (Prestige Assurance PLC). He moved to the Gulf in 1998 to head Rais Hassan Saadi Insurance (Brokers & Agents) LLC, the Chief Agency of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., where he spent the next 10 years.  He was responsible for marketing and administration in the agency during this period when the gross premium grew from AED 11 million to AED 90 million.

Arvind has extensive experience in marketing, underwriting, claims of all the major classes of insurance such as property, marine, motor, liabilities, engineering etc.  He was also deeply involved in bringing GIC Re to Dubai under the chief agency of his previous employers Rais Hassan Saadi Group.  He joined Howden Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai in January 2008 as a minority share holder and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.


Jasjeet Bindra - Managing Director

Jasjeet began his career in the insurance industry in 1987 as management trainee with National Insurance Company where over a period of 12 years he worked in various roles as Assistant Divisional Manager, Branch Manager and Senior Branch Manager / Divisional Manager. His branch was declared best 10 branches for three consecutive years from 1995 to 1997.

He moved to Dubai in 1999 as Agency Manager with ARMAB, Chief Agency of Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. He was instrumental in increasing business of Oriental Insurance during his stay with Oriental.

In 2006, Jasjeet moved to Sun Insurance Brokers LLC as Director where he led a new branch operations to produce AED38 Million of gross premium in a period of  5 years.

Jasjeet joined Howden in June 2011 as Executive Director and is currently Managing Director. He became minority shareholder in March 2013 at Howden Dubai. He has extensive experience in Marketing, Underwriting and Claims of all classes of business. He is a Master in Economics & Business Administration (Marketing). In insurance, he is a qualified Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), London and Fellow of Insurance Institute of India (FIII), Mumbai.


P. S. Madhu - Executive Director

Madhu joined Rais Hassan Saadi Insurance (Brokers & Agents) LLC, the Chief Agency of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. in 1989 as a Marketing Executive.  He spent the next 17 years with the same chief agency where he rose to the position of Marketing Manager.  He was supervising a team of marketing executives and also had a substantially large Insurance portfolio.

Madhu is an expert in corporate risks specially, property, marine, engineering and group medical. He also has experience with group life, individual life and also key-man insurance.

He embarked on entrepreneurial path in 2006 when he purchased European Insurance Brokers from the previous owners. The company did extremely well in the first year of its operations and Madhu decided to join hands with Howden Broking Group as a minority shareholder to increase the Company’s business volume, adopt improved marketing tools to increase market reach, have access to better technical skills to enable the company to rise above rest of the crowd in the local market and expand to other countries also.


Chandrashekar Salla - Executive Director - Abu Dhabi

Chandrashekar is a qualified Associate of Indian Institute of Insurance (AIII), Mumbai. His career started in 1987 at the National Insurance Company in Kolkata, India. He has extensive experience in underwriting, marketing and claims handling for various corporates in India, and since his move in 2008, the Middle East. He was associated in various capacities with AIG, Chubb, HSBC Insurance Brokers (Qatar) and Oman Insurance Company (UAE). He joined Howden Dubai in 2013 as Executive Director, and has now moved to Abu Dhabi to launch Howden’s operations there.
