Howden Broking Group is the broking arm of Hyperion Insurance Group, winner of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category in 2007 and ranked for the second year running in the 2008 Sunday Times Buyout track.

Hyperion Insurance Group was founded to help drive each of our specialist businesses forward, to nurture their organic growth and to fuel their acquisitions. Our firms cover wholesale and retail broking, reinsurance broking and underwriting. With businesses across Europe and Scandinavia, in India, Israel and Australia, we transact in more than 50 countries. We’re ranked first or second in many of our markets and have ambitions to lead in all.

When Howden Insurance Brokers (our first company) was created, it employed six people in one office. Today we’ve grown to over 600 people in 43 offices globally. This progress demonstrates just how far we’ve come, and more importantly, how far we can go in the future.
